M. Addison Freebairn, Esq.

About
Addison graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2018, but then moved to Colorado and took the Colorado Bar Exam. He misses the green of Seattle Washington, which he considers his hometown, but he loves the blue skies and sun of Colorado. Addison worked in Family Law during law school and developed a passion for it. This passion also stems from his own experience as a divorced Father. He and his former spouse are the poster-children for successful coparenting of their son and believe in a kid-first approach. Addison is the proud father of the cutest little (big!) boy ever born, and photos of him adorn the walls of Addison’s office. Addison’s personal experience with the divorce process has instilled in him a deep compassion for individuals going through divorce or custody battles. Addison considers Family one of the most important aspects of the human experience and has a fierce desire to help people navigate those “rough waters.”
Addison approaches cases with settlement in mind first, but is happiest in the courtroom. He has been described by a former client as someone who “sharpens his teeth at night” when kids are in danger. He has had numerous successful appellate cases and enjoys the research and writing process associated with appeals. In his spare time, he goes on adventures with his son, reads, hikes, cooks, practices martial arts, and when nobody is around, plays the piano.
